As August approaches, so does the start of a new school year and the beginning of fall. Fall in the Sandhills also brings us the Cumberland County Fair. This year's fair is set to mark another banner year of family-friendly entertainment.

With events for babies to kids and kids at heart; you'll find everything from a Day on the Farm to Wambold's Amazing Animal Show to Rocky the Boxing Kangaroo and his Circus... Monster Truck Rides, a car that transforms into a 60 foot tall autobot - plus - home, craft, and agricultural exhibits, camel and pony rides; Eudora Farms Exotic Interactive Zoo, and all the funnel cake, cotton candy, kettle corn and fair food you could want.

Advanced Tickets are on sale now and run $20.00. Advanced Tickets include admission into the fair, an unlimited ride wristband and many fair food coupons for free food. Otherwise, admission into the CCF is $6.00 (not including many daily sponsored discount offers) and the rides are pay per ride. Click on the Cumberland County Fair link (top right of this blog) for all the details; including Advanced Ticket Locations near you, general ticket information, a complete list of fair events and much more. Some Advanced Ticket Locations include: Baskin Robbins 31 Flavors Ice Cream (Bragg Blvd., Owen Drive and Skibo Rd); Cape Fear Flooring, Saturn of Fayetteville, Ty's Custom Picture Framing, The Christian Bookstore of LUMBERTON, Flooring America and the WCLN Christian 107.3 Studios.
