Get more from your Bible Study with the Right Attitudes

As some of you know, I've been taking a "How to Study the Bible" class at our local bible college here in Fayetteville, NC. One of the first lessons we were taught pertained to the attitudes we should approach the bible with when wanting to truly get the most meaning from our studies. These attitudes can be summed up using Three D's...

(1) Desire - desire to know God's truths.
(2) Dependence - total dependence on the Holy Spirit to guide you in your search(es).
(3) Diligence - Good 'ol fashioned, hard work - diligence in reading the bible.

That's it. Approaching your bible reading and study with these three attitudes will greatly enhance your experience and lead you to a more satisfying and fulfilling relationship with God's word... Thus... ultimately leading you to a more rewarding life and walk with Jesus Christ.

The right attitude makes all the difference!
