Ethiopia Needs YOU

Are you ready for the mission trip of a lifetime? Join us as a listener and supporter of your local Christian radio station as we become the hands and feet of Jesus to one of the most remote places on the globe: Tulu Bolo, Ethiopia. We have reserved your seat, along with 29 others, to create a team of listeners from The House FM in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and WCLN Christian 107.3 FM in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a team, we will arrive in Ethiopia's capital city, Addis Ababa, after a brief stop in Rome, Italy. From Addis Ababa we will take a 1-hour bus ride to Tulu Bolo and the slums of Weliso ready to work. Our project: build a restroom and shower facility in a community where water-borne illnesses are the leading cause of disease in children. These illnesses often cause diarrhea, which leads to dehydration and malnutrition. Because children are getting sick multiple times a year, they begin to perform poorly in school and are often forced to drop out completely. This restroom is the highest priority for our ministries in Ethiopia, and this team will be the one to make these much-needed facilities a reality. Along with building the walls and roof of this building, we will take a day to minister to the children and show them the love of Christ in a way that they have never experienced – Vacation Bible School. Help us create the VBS by organizing crafts, games, lessons, and bringing gifts – something completely new for these children. On Sunday, we will experience what church looks like in Ethiopia as we worship with fellow believers in the community. Near the end of the trip, we will take a day to relax and explore the beauty of Ethiopia and shop for a few souvenirs before returning to the capital city for our trip home.
