Readers looking for a general understanding of the Holy Spirit's role in our lives (with some specific attention to the lives of men) will generally find good substance in SOAR. Backed by plenty of scripture references, SOAR delivers some eye-opening moments throughout its 17 chapters and offers a study guide and questions at the end of the book to help further explain the ideas within each chapter and/or to use as a study guide for groups as they read the book collectively.
Although SOAR hits the mark in explaining the role of the Holy Spirit, devout readers will likely find SOAR lacking in its flow and fluid transitions from chapter to chapter. I found the ideas well thought out and thoroughly explained, but found myself working more on connecting the dots to absorb the information than pursuing the next page(s).
As a study reference or guide to help explain the role of the Holy Spirit, SOAR is a good book to have for general study or research material. One might suggest that Kenny Luck's SOAR was well authored, but not well written; at least not for my tastes.
NOTE: I received this book, SOAR, in exchange for writing this review.
